International Operations Specialist

We are currently seeking an International Operations Specialist for an immediate opening.  This position will be located at our headquarters in St. Louis, Missouri with an option of telecommuting from an agreed upon major city with an international airport south of St. Louis.  Must be willing to spend time in St. Louis for initial training.  This position will be responsible for management of a Two-Way Automatic Communications System  and software for test, deployment, and operation of enterprise applications for international customers.  Provide support to these systems including setup and administrative duties to help move the customer to an operational objective. This person will have primary responsibility for assisting in the operation of the system and working with the Utility as they learn how to operate the system.   

This individual will directly support the project teams assigned to the international accounts and the customer in the daily operation, data collection, reporting and troubleshooting required for making this system successful.  This may include some 24 X 7 on-call status.  The International Operations Specialist is expected to play a strong technical role in the development of standard processes including:

·           Server sizing

·           Server configuration

·           Server test

·           On-site server requirements and set-up in the utility’s environment

·           Integration support for database elements and data delivery

·           Daily operational processes

·           Daily, weekly and monthly reporting structure

·           Work with Technical Support, Training and the Development Teams to develop training materials and classes

Qualifications:

·           6 – 8 years of combined experience in infrastructure support, onsite customer support and diagnostic\troubleshooting support for multi-tier Call Center Support functions.

·           Good organizational and communications skills and the ability to work independently, particularly in completing assigned tasks and monitoring issues/problems to resolution

·           Ability to learn new concepts and skills.

·           Experience with troubleshooting and resolving problems with pilot and production systems.

·           Must be fluent in English and Spanish.  Portuguese and other languages are a plus.

·           Demonstrated ability to manage multiple hardware and software environments and the assets required to support parallel development activities.

·           Proven understanding of the role of hardware and developmental software in the overall system development process; familiarity with tools, processes and software necessary to support multi-disciplinary teams.

·           Excellent interpersonal skills, mentoring and performance feedback.

·           Excellent verbal and written communications skills.

·           Good analytical skills.

·           Technical (Computer Science, IS, mathematics) degree.

·           UNIX system administration and J2EE Application Server experience is preferred.

·           DBA experience/certifications a plus.

·           Ability to travel up to 75% of the time internationally to locations including Mexico, Columbia, and Brazil.
