·        Performs moderately complex systems modeling, simulation, and analysis to provide appropriate solution for operating system.

·        Designs, develops, troubleshoots and analyzes software programs to ensure compatibility with hardware systems.

·        Provides troubleshooting assistance for operating systems and application issues on application servers for prototype, testing, and operational systems.

·        Customizes systems environments based on research and customer needs as appropriate.

Basic Qualifications

·        Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience

·        Six or more years of experience in systems engineering or operating systems administration

Other Qualifications

·        Primary abilities should include advanced system troubleshooting, system image creation, system scripting using WMI (requires Visual Basic and/or Java scripting) and IIS administration.

·        Secondary abilities should include Oracle/SQL maintenance and familiarity with clustering

·        Other recent experience with one of the AMC Mission Systems (ACFP, COINS, CAMPS, GATES/WPS, GCCS, GDSS, L-Band) is highly desired. Experience with advanced Windows Server issue identification and resolution.

·        Replacement of parts and hardware identification issues with Dell and HP enterprise server hardware and components.
·        Ability to manage multiple tasks and be able to work issues to completion with little supervision.
·        Ability to assess and identify performance related issues and isolate them to specific system software or hardware components.
