Company: YOH Location: Scott AFB - O'Fallon, Il Status: Contract Salary: Market Close Date: 12 months + Job Description: Seeking staff to support Air Mobility Command's Applications Infrastructure and Systems Support (AISS). The program's scope is to develop enterprise capabilities and frameworks, operate development and testing environments, testing, training and support of operational environments for AMC's Command and Control Systems. The successful candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) Secret security clearance. This position will be for engineering support of AMC's C2 Support Domain servers. The analyst will be responsible for installing, configuring, tuning, optimizing, monitoring, and troubleshooting all of the hardware and software components that make up the AMC C2 Support Domain. Essential Job Functions · Performs moderately complex systems and database administration. Monitors and tunes appropriate systems to ensure optimum level of performance.· Oversees appropriate level software installations and upgrades and related software packages.· Collects and reviews system data for capacity and planning purposes. Analyzes capacity data and develops capacity plans for appropriate level enterprise-wide systems. Coordinates with appropriate management personnel in implementing changes.· Supports the design and configuration of complex system landscapes.· Supports complex data/media recoverability through system backups and database archive operations. Plans, coordinates and directs appropriate level data refresh strategies.· Oversees and applies appropriate support packages/patches to maintain system integrity.· Develops and maintains appropriate system documentation to ensure that documentation is current. Oversees the maintenance of a library of system-supporting process and procedure documentation.· Interacts with client management to answer questions, problems and requests regarding complex system issues.· Provides leadership and work guidance to less experienced personnel.Qualifications Basic Qualifications · Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience· Bachelor's degree in computer science, management information systems, or related field preferred· Five or more years of specialized experience in administering computer systems.· Experience working with appropriate complex systems administration, database administration, and landscape maintenance· Experience working with company products and services· Experience working with company and client documentation and storage procedures· Experience working with complex system implementations and organizational processesOther Qualifications · Comprehensive knowledge of AMC's hardware, software and network components desired.· TBMCS experience highly desired.· Strong analytical and problem solving skills· Good communication skills· Good personal computer and business solutions software skills· Ability to work independently and as part of a team· Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) Secret security clearance· Information Assurance Technician Level II (Security+) highly desired. Must be able to obtain and maintain certification within 6 months of hire.Duties would include: · Primary advanced system troubleshooting for application servers.· System administration of Network, Web, and/or communications systems, including LAN and WAN systems, involving network security.· Experience with UNIX/SUN operating systems· Maintains servers, creates monitoring reports and logs, and ensures functionality of links.· Monitors web site for acceptable performance and user accessibility.· Consults with and advises network users.· Coordinates network administration and performance requirements with others in the information systems function.· Responsible for configuration management and documentation of network and system topologies.· Prepares technical implementation plans that provide integrated solution.· Researches applicable standards and requirements documents to ensure compliance.· Selects or recommends multi-user software that meets common user requirements, integrates (where possible) with existing software.· Plans for and provides reasonable responsiveness in terms of system performance.· Prepares activity and progress reports regarding the network performance.Contact Information: Job Code: Air Mobility Command's Applications Infrastructure and Systems Support (AISS).
