.Net Developer C# June 2010
Company: YOH Location: St Louis Status: Permanent Salary: Market Close Date: Perm - Remote OK Job Description: Staff Engineer in their Sacramento, CA (or Mobile, AL) office; this position can be virtual for the right candidate. They are looking for a highly skilled and experienced .NET Engineer. This should be someone with strong technical knowledge and experience in leading team development. You will be working with many Engineers in a fast paced environment and there will be a strong expectation for this person to drive key projects and work closely with our Systems Architects.The duties of this role include but are not limited to: 1) Programming .NET (VB and C#) applications using SQL Server for both new and existing applications.
2) Writing SQL Server stored procedures.
3) Develop full system documentation.
4) Develop SQL data models.
5) Create Visio designs.
6) Create Microsoft project plans.
7) Provide escalated support for systems in the field that run 24/7.
8) Testing of applications in both unit and at a system level with other team members.
9) Act as mentor, coach, or technical advisor to more junior colleagues
10) Ability to work from home when necessary.
11) At times you may lead a team of Engineers to drive a project to completion from the technical aspect following the designs provided by the Systems Architects.
12) Research and document existing applications
Requirements Bachelor’s degree in CS or relative area and 12 + years experience in systems programming in the windows environment using related Microsoft programming tools. Programming the telcom or billing area a plus.
This position requires the following knowledge:
1) Extensive knowledge of Visual Studio 2008 product line with focus on VB.NET.
2) Extensive knowledge of .NET Framework.
3) Extensive knowledge of ADO.NET Technologies.
4) Extensive knowledge of T-SQL Technologies with focus on ANSI standards.
5) Extensive knowledge of SQL 2005 Technologies.
6) Very good at documentation and using Microsoft Word.
7) Basic skills of ASP.NET, IIS and web development.
8) Must understand the concepts of SDLC.
9) Must understand data modeling.
10) Basic skills in Project Management and using Microsoft Project.
11) Basic skills of Visio.
12) Basic Knowledge of XML.
13) Having knowledge of VB6 would be a plus. Only for support some older product lines that are being converted over to .NET.
14) Microsoft Certification (MCAD, MCPD, or MCP) on systems development is a plus.
15) Other skill sets that would help is knowing Visual SourceSafe, MS Excel, FTP technologies, Oracle, C#, C++, MySQL, Windows XP and Windows Server.
16) Must be able to work multiple projects at once.
17) Must be able to respond to rapid changes in development priorities.
